Cole is from Austin, Texas and also has spent allot of time in the Nashville music scene. Fender bass guitars is his preference and he plays a number of them including a 5 string bass.
Cole's bass playing is precise, thundering, dynamic, and he delivers a no nonsense approach to his signature playing. Cole as performs lead vocals with the Johnnie K Band and has a distinct vocal sound sometimes reminiscent of James Dewar who was the vocalist for Robin Trower.
